BRISTOL, TN — Healing Hands Health is pleased to announce they have been awarded a $13,500 Hope Grant from the Wellspring Foundation of Southwest Virginia. The grant will support the replacement of two essential medication refrigerators, ensuring the safe storage of temperature-sensitive, life-saving medications. It will also fund the purchase of point-of-care testing (POCT) cartridges for Microalbumin/Creatinine Ratio and A1C testing supplies, which support the success of the Quality Improvement Incentive Program (QIIP). These tools play a vital role in the effective management of chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.
“This generous grant from Wellspring Foundation will enhance our ability to deliver high-quality care to our patients,” said Helen Scott, Executive Director of Healing Hands Health. “By upgrading our refrigeration units and expanding our diagnostic testing capabilities, we are ensuring that patients with limited access to care can still receive timely, effective treatment.”
Healing Hands Health provides affordable, community-supported care that allows individuals with limited insurance coverage to restore their quality of life. Qualified residents of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia can receive supportive, medical, mental health, dental, and vision care – typically for $50 or less at each routine visit, including diagnostic testing.
The Wellspring Foundation of Southwest Virginia works to enhance the health and wellbeing of residents in Washington, Grayson, Russell, and Smyth counties by cultivating partnerships focused on measurable community impact.
