Ballad Health Donates $200,000 to Healing Hands Health’s Capital Campaign
Bristol, TN — On Thursday, March 19, Ballad Health presented a $200,000 gift to Healing Hands Health in support of its Building Health Inspiring Hope Capital Campaign and the expansion of its Medical Services Building at 225 Midway Medical Park in Bristol, Tennessee.
The newly renovated space will house an integrated Primary Care Behavioral Health model, allowing medical providers to connect patients with behavioral health support during their visit, improving access to care and continuity of services.
“We are deeply grateful to Ballad Health for their generous support of this important work,” said Helen Scott, Executive Director of Healing Hands Health. “Their partnership allows us to care for our community in a more connected and meaningful way, helping patients restore their quality of life.”
Ballad Health’s gift will support the renovation and equipping of the Medical Services Building, including construction and outfitting of the Coordinated Care Team Work Area along with integrated behavioral health offices and patient treatment rooms. These thoughtfully designed spaces bring providers together in a shared environment, strengthening communication and enabling a more coordinated, team-based approach to care.
“We are honored to support Healing Hands Health through this investment in expanding access to integrated primary care and behavioral health services,” said Tammy Albright, CEO, Behavioral Health Services at Ballad Health. “The use of this care model is vital in addressing the growing mental health needs in our region, and this partnership strengthens our shared commitment to ensuring individuals in our communities have access to compassionate, coordinated care close to home as we seek to improve the health of the communities we serve.”
