Healing Hands Health Celebrates Ribbon-Cutting and Completion of Building Health Inspiring Hope Capital Campaign

Bristol, Tenn. — Healing Hands Health marked a major milestone moment with a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of its newly renovated Medical Services Building and the successful completion of their Building Health Inspiring Hope Capital Campaign, an achievement that expands access to comprehensive, affordable, quality care for individuals across the region.

The celebration united community leaders, partners, donors, volunteers, and staff to recognize the growth of Healing Hands Health and the collective impact of a community committed to improving health outcomes for underserved individuals in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.

Launched in 2023, in response to the region’s growing need for affordable behavioral health services, the Building Health Inspiring Hope Capital Campaign set out to create a fully integrated care center, bringing medical, behavioral health, medications, and supportive services together under one roof. Three generous bequests helped purchase a 9,800-square-foot building adjacent to the organization’s existing clinic, laying the foundation for this transformation.

A lead gift from the Care Foundation of America launched a $3.5 million capital campaign to purchase, renovate, equip the building, and add to the endowment; along with a $2 million planned giving goal to strengthen Healing Hands Health’s long-term sustainability. Thanks to extraordinary community support, the campaign exceeded both goals, raising $6,298,194 in total cash, pledges, and planned giving.

“The newly renovated Medical Services Building represents a significant step forward in Healing Hands Health’s ability to deliver integrated, whole-person care. By bringing behavioral health services into the primary care setting, patients can now access critical support in the same location, improving continuity of care, health outcomes, and overall quality of life,” said Executive Director, Helen Scott.

“This milestone reflects the power of partnership,” Scott added. “Our donors, businesses, and community partners believed in this vision and made it a reality. Together, we are expanding access and creating healthier futures for our neighbors.”

‍The ribbon-cutting ceremony not only celebrated a new space, but also honored the generosity, commitment, and shared vision that made it possible, ushering in the next chapter of care for the community.

Since 1997, Healing Hands Health has served over 17,000 individuals across Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.
